Removing the Footer Attribution
Nano CMS is free and open source under the MIT licence - use it, modify it, deploy it anywhere. Out of the box it shows a small Powered by Nano CMS line in the footer of the pages it renders.
Removing it
For client work or a cleaner footer, buy a perpetual per-domain licence. You receive an Ed25519-signed licence key; paste it into Settings → Licence (or set licence_key in config.json) and the attribution disappears immediately - no restart, no rebuild.
How verification works
- The check runs locally on your server using the embedded public key.
- No phone-home, no telemetry, no external API calls - your key never leaves your server.
- It covers both
wwwand the bare domain, and localhost/dev domains skip the check.
Licences are perpetual - pay once, never renews. There are single-domain, agency 3-pack, and agency-unlimited tiers depending on how many sites you run.
